Hello,

Well it’s been a very exciting and busy few weeks but first I want to say sorry for not keeping you all up to date more regularly.

I have just returned from a girls holiday in Benidorm which was great fun. Our holiday motto became, ‘What happens in Benidorm, Stays in Benidorm!’
It was a really great holiday with two of my closest friends. It was lovely to have some hot sun and be able to just relax by a pool, read books or visit the spa for some beauty treatments. We were staying in a very posh hotel in Benidorm (yes they exsist!) and we were thoroughly spoilt by the wonderful staff. I managed to get a wee tan from the sun so I was happy with that. Our scottish skin isn’t the best when it comes to going brown!
There was lots of laughter and I have some great memories. I had a ball and really enjoyed every moment. I’ve booked another little break in January so I can have a little winter sun.

As well as Benidorm I have had a few visits to Stobo Castle, I recently went with my sister in law and had a great time. Again, it’s lovely to just take a couple of days away and have a bit of pampering. The hotel and the grounds are just beautiful and although close to home you feel like you are in another world.

I’ve become a real fan of the theatre again. Especially now I’m a patron of the local Bathgate Regal Theatre.
I went up to Dundee on Saturday to watch a production called ‘Mill Lavvies’. That was an enjoyable evening and I also went to watch the local Bathgate showcase at the Regal a couple of weeks ago. There is so much untapped talent in West Lothian and it’s good to watch and support them. There was lots of speculation about what I was going to be doing there, but I just like sitting in the theatre and watching the performances without any fuss and to cheer people on.

It hasn’t all been a holiday! I have been busy at work as well.
The album recording is now finished. I had the opportunity to listen to some of the music today and I was really happy and excited by the songs I heard. It’s been a great experience recording this album and working with a new producer, in a new studio was also an exciting step.

Personally, I can’t believe that I’ve just made my fourth album. Where has the time gone? It’s flown by. I think if you’d said to me at the beginning of 2009 that by the end of 2012 I would have my fourth album coming out around the globe I would have said you were pulling my leg! I hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it. This one has been a lot of fun to do.

As well as finishing recording I have also done a couple of photo shoots for the album and it’s great to be back in the swing of it again.

I’m looking forward to getting back on the road so to speak and visiting America. That feels like a second home to me, so being welcomed back with open arms, I can’t wait. I’m also planning on visiting some other places this year, so hopefully I will see more of you all.

I’m not going to give too much away at this point in terms of the album. Somethings need to be kept as surprises, but it won’t be too much longer before you find out more. However what I will say is watch this space…. It’s an exciting few months ahead and I can’t wait for you all to share this time with me.

If you haven't heard her 3rd CD "Someone To Watch Over Me" be sure to go out and buy it. You will truly enjoy every song on it.

The message below came from a radio station in San Antonio. It is too bad Sony/Syco don't help promote Susan's CDs by getting a promotional copy to them. She has made a lot of money for them. I would hope they pay back.

I can understand why Sony has lost revenue. This article mentions the figures and that customers are not happy with the service received from them. I believe the reason why there is such a drop in revenue, is because they do not back up their stars, such as Susan Boyle. There is no mention of her in this article even though over a million of her last CD "Someone To Watch Over Me" has been sold world-wide. They do not publicize her music in the USA, even though there is a tremendous amount of interest in her. They do not see that her music is played on radio, even when fans request it over and over again. They do not put out what people want to buy, like all the songs and shows she has done so far. They do not answer calls and emails to them about their stars. I never got an actual voice when I called NY Sony about radio play for Susan and I never got a reply to my messages and emails, which I sent to them about radio play. I never got a reply to all the messages I posted on their Media Director's Facebook. I received no customer service what so ever. A giant company like Sony, should be able to get their stars music played on USA radio, IMO.
