Susan Boyle looks a little wary as she brushes shoulders with a strongman at the West Lothian Highland Games.

The Scottish singer's encounter with competitor Neil Elliott and his 28lb weight wasn't the only time she looked nervous.
The Britain's Got Talent star also braved a photo opportunity with a python at the Games and British Pipe Band Championships.
Boyle is chieftain of the event in Bathgate, which kicked off this weekend.

The past five years have been incredible and it just keeps getting better. I have spoken so often about wanting to tour America and be able to visit different cities for the first time, I’m so excited. This really will be fantastic and I can’t wait for October. The USA embraced and supported me from the beginning and it really feels like a second home so I can’t wait to get on the road and perform there.”

Sony's #5 Top Female singer of 2013 is Susan Boyle

Susan Boyle sings "Miracle Hymn" in the 'sweet, simple' film 'The Christmas Candle

My review of "The Christmas Candle" after seeing it three (3) times in Houston, Texas in November, 2013: The very first time I saw it, I was in awe just seeing Susan Boyle and hearing her sing "Miracle Hymn", so I did not get much of the story. The second time I paid attention to the story and it was so endearing and touching, it made me cry. The third time I watched everything and it was marvelous. Every character had a story and the plot went on through the entire movie. I wanted more of it when it ended. It is a wonderful story for the entire family. Full of hope, understanding and love. It will be around for a long time to come. Go see it when it gets to your area. You will be glad you did.

Now for another review:

This is a review of The Christmas Candle.

The now famous voice of Britain's Susan Boyle fills one of this festive season's movies 'The Christmas Candle'.

The story takes place in the small English village of Gladbury, where according to an age-old tradition, every 25 years an angel visits and blesses a candle that will bring good luck to whoever lights it at Christmas.

"It's very fresh, it's a very simple little story. It's very sweet. Not saccharine, but sweet, chocolate boxy and just really nice," said Scottish actor John Hannah, who stars in the film.

It is the long-awaited film debut of Susan Boyle, who shot to fame after winning the TV show 'Britain's Got Talent'. She plays a church warden's wife named Eleanor.

British actress and singer Samantha Barks takes the role of Emily, a parishioner who falls in love with the village's new young vicar.

"The story has this amazing way of showing the spirit of Christmas and (...) I always call myself a cheerleader for Christmas. I'm always like 'Woo', I love it so much. And there is definitely this thing, that around Christmas time everybody's just a little bit kinder. It just is this universal thing, where the world is just a slightly nicer place, I think," Barks enthused.

The film has received very mixed reviews with one critic calling it "lovely looking, but dramatically flat and emotionally sterile".

Susan Boyle sings 'Welcome to the Space Show' theme song

Published on May 1, 2014
Susan Boyle sings theme song (end credits) for 'Welcome to the Space Show' June 26th, 2010

The breakout star from the UK show Britain's Got Talent, Susan Boyle, sang the theme song for the Japanese anime movie entitled 'Welcome to the Space Show'. The song is entitled "Who I Was Born To Be."

The film is a "science-fiction family film that begins during the summer vacation of fifth grader Natsuki Oyama, who just moved into the countryside. She and four of her schoolmates embark on a space-spanning adventure that takes them beyond the fields they call home." "Who I Was Born To Be" is the first original Susan Boyle song that was used in a movie. The movie premiered in Japan on June 26th, 2010.

This is the actual end credits of the original movie.
