Susan Boyle - Britain's Got Talent on April 11, 2009, singing "I Dreamed a Dream" - She dared to dream,
From Facebook: Thank you for sharing
Anita Zamaria Wagner Grace
Susan Boyle came to international attention when she appeared as a contestant on Britain's Got Talent on April 11, 2009, singing ""I Dreamed a Dream"" from Les Misérables. Boyle's first album, I Dreamed a Dream (2009), was the most pre-ordered album worldwide of all time at Amazon before its global release, and debuted as the #1 best-selling album on charts around the globe. It instantly became the UK's best-selling debut album of all time, beating the previous record held by Spirit by Leona Lewis. Boyle had sold over 19 million albums worldwide and received two Grammy Awards nominations. Susan is arguably the most intriguing, not to mention instantly recognizable character yet to be produced by the reality talent medium, the decade’s defining TV genre. Her singing voice has a raw combination of strength and fragility, beauty and solitude. Her story demonstrates a fearlessness to dream about something other than the lot life has handed you. The chance to escape. The pivotal role of music as a conduit to go to another place, sometimes lodged at the outer recesses of your imagination, and to allow that new place to blossom. Susan’s tale has connected with so many unsuspecting people across the world because, if she can dare to dream, so can you.

Susan Boyle looks a little wary as she brushes shoulders with a strongman at the West Lothian Highland Games.
The Scottish singer's encounter with competitor Neil Elliott and his 28lb weight wasn't the only time she looked nervous.
The Britain's Got Talent star also braved a photo opportunity with a python at the Games and British Pipe Band Championships.
Boyle is chieftain of the event in Bathgate, which kicked off this weekend.

We asked Susan how excited she was to be heading back to the US this Autumn, here’s what she had to say…
“This is a brilliant moment for me. I am so very proud to be announcing that I will be performing in my very own tour in the USA. This really is fantastic. The past five years have been incredible and it just keeps getting better. I have spoken so often about wanting to tour America and be able to visit different cities for the first time, I’m so excited. This really will be fantastic and I can’t wait for October. The USA embraced and supported me from the beginning and it really feels like a second home so I can’t wait to get on the road and perform there.”
