She won the world over with her 2009 performance of “I dreamed a dream” on Britain’s Got Talent, and life quickly changed for Simon Cowell-protege, Susan Boyle.
Although she didn’t win the show, Scottish-born Boyle, 52, who is the youngest of eight children, has gone on to tour the world and build an estimated wealth of more than $33 million.
Her fortune led to a brief splash on a plasma TV, three piece sofa suite and a luxury home which she reportedly uses only for rehearsals. She’s also been spotted in her home town of Blackburn shopping at Poundland and catching the bus.
