Susan Boyle hits the road for first US tour in Winnebago
more luxurious than her own home
THE Scots superstar, who will take to the stage in San Diego on Wednesday, will entertain fans with material from her sixth album, Hope, as well as a few other surprises.
SINGER Susan Boyle is hitting the road for her first US tour – in a bus more luxurious than her own home.
Susan, 53, will take to the stage at the Balboa Theatre in San Diego , California, tonight.
But as well as performing, the Scots superstar, who became an overnight sensation on Britain’s Got Talent five years ago, is looking forward to life on the road.
Susan, whose audition performance of I Dreamed a Dream went viral on YouTube, said: “I’m taking to the American roads in a tour bus, not any old tour bus.
“Having seen the pictures, this thing is unbelievable – proper bedrooms and a marble bathroom.
“It’s better than my own house and I’ll be travelling the country in this great big luxury Winnebago – what fun.”
Susan, from Blackburn, West Lothian, famously bought a luxurious new home when she hit the big time – then preferred to stay in her family’s former council house.
Last month, we told how she paid £110,000 – £40,000 over the market value – for the house next door. She plans to knock the two together to create a six-bedroom home .
Susan’s shows in the US will feature material from her sixth album, Hope, but fans have also been promised a few surprises. She said: “Everyone has a dream and I’m really living mine.
“The show is fantastic, if I do say so myself, and I feel prepared and raring to go. I feel so much more comfortable on stage and I’m willing to take more risks, push myself out of my comfort zone and hope the audience enjoy it as much as I do.”
Susan, who has been rehearsing in Los Angeles, also said she is touched that some of her UK fans are travelling to America for her tour
